2008 Calendar of Events
April 6 Vineyard Tour
10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Join us for a field trip in the estate vineyard of Columbia Crest where you will learn about the cycle of the grape, terroir and viticultural practices. A formal tasting will follow featuring Columbia Crest Red and White wines. Pre-registration is required with a $15 fee per person. This tour will be repeated on the first Sunday of every month through August. Dates are as follows: May 4, June 1, July 6 and August 3.
April 13 Annual Kite Festival
12:00 to 4:00 p.m. Local kite enthusiasts are encouraged to bring their kites to fly with experts from around the Columbia Basin. Prizes will be awarded in various categories. No admittance fee.
April 25-27 Barrel Tasting
10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sample wines from start to finish, barrel to bottle. Enjoy winery tours, live music and great food. All guests are welcome; no admittance fee.
| June 21 Columbia Crest Silver Solstice 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Join us to celebrate our winery’s 25th anniversary with an afternoon of live music, food and wine pairings, vertical tastings, and much more. The cost is TBD. Stay tuned for more details. |
July 19 “Horse Heaven Trail Drive”
10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The third anniversary of the Horse Heaven Hills AVA will be celebrated with stops at seven wineries on a winery loop. Tour and taste at all seven to be eligible for a drawing Saturday at Crow Butte Park for a case of Horse Heaven Hills AVA wine. $40 includes an event glass, drawing opportunity and Bar-B-Q at Crow Butte Park Saturday (6 to 8 p.m). September 27-28 “Catch the Crush”
10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Join us for our harvest celebration and sample grapes fresh from the vineyards! Enjoy live music, wine tasting and winery tours. All guests are welcome; no admittance fee.
October 5 22nd Annual Vintage Mustang Car Show
10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Columbia Crest Winery plays host to more than 100 Mustangs to view, and guests can vote for their favorite. Live music and food items will be available. All guests are welcome; no admittance fee.
November 28-30 Thanksgiving in Wine Country
10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Celebrate the holidays while sampling gourmet food items and wine. Complimentary gift-wrapping will be available to start your holiday shopping before the rush. All guests welcome; no admittance fee.
